En kollega – vi er TO i Numedal som samler meteoritter! Jippi! – besøkte samlingen i dag, og hadde med seg en bit av en jernmeteoritt som er til klassifisering nå!

Så selv om snøen ligger ute, og det er bare 9 mai, så erklæres 2019 sesongen for åpnet!

Today I integrated the items from the Janzing collection in my collection! Fun!

Found 10 years ago. Nearly 5 kgr. of this not yet classified meteorite, – it is so far labeled to be a L(LL) meteorite.
I have 2 slices of it in my collection, and there is tons of study-worth chondrules in them!
so I did some pictures……again…
In millions of years Numedal has had very, very dry air! That is why there still are so many buildings, more than 1000 years old, to see here!
But today was different; VERY humid! So humid – in October (!) that may displays in the exhibition looked like this:
NOT good for the meteorites! Not at all!
I hope it will not last long….or may be this will be just another reason to move….?
